Our Principles

The principles which guide the work at Small Wonders are categorised from the Early Years Foundation Stage as follows:

A Unique Child

At Small Wonders each child is valued as a competent learner from birth and can be resilient, capable, confident and self assured.

Positive Relationships

Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with both parents and our key workers. At Small Wonders we actively encourage the relationship between parents and key workers to share in the development and learning opportunities created both here and at home.

Enabling Environments

The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning. We provide a stimulating environment both inside and out to enable your child to develop to their maximum potential.

Learning and Development

Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of Learning and Development are equally important and inter-connected. All of our staff are fully trained in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage to encourage the maximum level of learning and development for the children in our setting.
